Form and Sheets connection

Import the spreadsheet, name it, and link your form to it so every submission lands in your Sheet.

This connection is the heartbeat of the system. Every product you submit through your form lands as a new row in your Google Sheet, and the automations read it from there.

The spreadsheet comes as an Excel file called Digital Product Form. It is in the Skool group, or on your members page on the guided route. Download it first. The steps below turn it into your own Google Sheet.

Steps

  1. Open Google Drive and click My Drive.
  2. Open Automate Etsy / Collections / Digital Products. You made this folder in the Drive structure lesson. Your spreadsheet will live here.
  3. Upload the Excel file by dragging it into that folder.
  4. Create a blank Google Sheet inside the folder: right-click, then Google Sheets, then Blank spreadsheet.
  5. Import the Excel data. In the new sheet choose File, then Import, then My Drive, then Automate Etsy, then Collections, then Digital Products, and pick your Excel file. Choose Insert new sheet(s) so the tabs come in, then click Import data.
  6. Name your spreadsheet Digital Products and press Enter.
  7. Review the tabs along the bottom. You should see Product Data (the main database), Product Templates (controls how your listing is structured), Customer Personas (your buyer profiles), Prompt Data (the details your listings are written from), Etsy Listings, and WooSync, which you can ignore.
  8. Tidy up. Back in the folder, move the Excel file to the trash. You now have one spreadsheet.
  9. Connect your form. Go to Automate Etsy / Forms and open your copied form. Click the Responses tab, then Link to Sheets, then Select existing spreadsheet, and choose Digital Products.
  10. Check the link worked. Open the sheet. A new tab called Form Responses 1 has appeared. This is where every submission arrives.
  11. Save your form link. In the form, click Send, then the link icon, and copy the link. This is the page you will use every time you add a product. If you lose it, open the form from Automate Etsy / Forms and copy it again.

Keep in mind

  • Always choose Select existing spreadsheet when you link the form. Choosing a new one creates an empty sheet.
  • Use one spreadsheet for one setup. Do not share a file between shops.
  • Save the form link somewhere easy. You will use it every day.

Next: write your customer persona.
